Ontario Hydro is about to waste millions of dollars on a dud technology in an effort to boost it's electrical power output for the province. Taxpayers' money that has been alloted for hydro development projects should be saved for a more efficient concept - a (future) ultimate solution - "the mother of all projects" - and not wasted on band aid ideas like those offered by such groups as the Green Collar Power Coalition, a 'wind farm' type development. The provincial government should, here and now, stop considering such an alternative when it comes to the fertile-soil areas of Ontario. Members of government should be obligated to consider the province's future within the realm of true, common sense and this should also hold true in all of their other decision making, as well, least they be considered nothing but a bunch of university-educated idiots.
These days I am left to wonder if money and power are being considered more important than our children's future. Is this what we have taught our children, before the children of today? If so, what sort of brats have we raised (not meaning to sound offensive but if kids and not effectively community oriented then what are they)? ...  |
