 | solodad7 | I am from Ontario Canada The cops up here are just as crooked in fact they jailed me for asking for audio assistance in court, as they were taking me to the holding cell a female officer slamed me face first into the wall, i was unable to bring my hands up and stop myself as they were handcuffed. in the end I recieved $10,000.00 in compensation. I have a copy of the story in the Orangeville Citizen |
 | outtheresister | This site sucks- Instead of complaining about what is wrong why don't you people make an effort to push for change? If you don't have a solution to back up your complaint then don't complain....it's that simple!
Do you know how many complaints officers here in a day? A lot, they are probably sick of it- More then half of complaints are trivial and not complaints at all;;;;so imagine having to deal with this on a regular basis. It doesn't make the officer feel very good. It wouldn't make you feel good either if you had to listen to other people complain day in and day out. Put yourself in the officers shoes, just once.

 | cayenne1021 | First I would like to comment on the woman before me. I think she is an idiot if she thinks this sight "sucks" and is not a tactic for pushing for change. By all of us viewing this disturbing video and showing us what an innocent man, trying to excercise his rights, could be subjected to, it shows that any of us, including the naive grouch before me could be subjected to it too. It is quite possible that she will witness such a situation during her lifetime with the police. And if not her, then someone she is close to.I agree that we should all try to push harder for change, but with the intimidation that some of these police instill in us, the fear...it will take a lot of work. If anything sucks, it is the fact that we have to worry about this type of abuse from the polilce that are supposed to 'serve and protect' us. I think there are good police out there, but the ones that are corrupt deserve to be jailed just like the rest of the gang members. |
| antonio666 | To outtheresister: Don't you think exposing this kind of abuse in this manner is a way to "make an effort to push for change"? |
 | lexisflex | He should have shot the black people for wasting ressources |
 | creatednordestroyed | You are a total douche bag lexisflex. You should be ashamed of your ignorance. It's not a race issue- it's a human issue- these are your rights...these are your resources...it has nothing to do with black or white- it is and will always be a war between the have and the have nots- judging by your ignorant comment I will assume you are a "have not" so you should be with us. This is a typical example of how the guards (the police- who protect wealthy people's agenda) oppress people and their rights. We are brainwashed to fight amongst ourselves via race and religion instead of uniting against them...we are many- they are few. I do find it interesting though that police are given an abundance of power- however are not required to have a college education...hmmmm......oh and outtheresister..you are no sister of mine. You are an idiot and have missed the whole point of video. |
 | idiocracy | Here are a few things I noticed. 1. The first guy could barely form a coherent sentence, therefore the communication was off from the beginning. 2. Did the officers know they were being taped at the start? 3. The officer handled the situation wrongly and asked too many questions in a rapid manner. However, given the dress of the first person as a suspected gang banger, the sergeant was immediately on the offensive and said things which would indicate he did not know he was being filmed. 4. The sergeant failed to communicate the proper complaint form methods until the end and obviously made threats as a form to control the situation. 5. The second person arrived and became very defensive as well, alerting the officer to a problem, however due to something that we cannot see on the tape, the sergeant did not feel like the second person was a threat other than legally. What time of night did this happen? And where in L.A.? What was the agenda in the first place of the person filing a complaint?
I am not siding with either in this case, but merely raising issue with this video. All three parties are wrong in their approach.
As to the poster above in the have and have not scenarios. its a matter of respect versus non respect. People fight amongst themselves regardless of oppression. Crabs in a bucket. It's called a 'failure to coalesce' and has been ever present since tribes formed. This video shows no oppression or rights violations, just bad communication. (unless during the blackouts there is something else happening)
Police officers in general form a high god-like opinion of themselves and typically stick together as their own tribes for a sense of protection. Much the same way that gangs and posses do. The officers are like fragile little kitty cats with fake self esteems and guns as claws to help their egos. Many of these people were the bullies in school. It's important to keep that in mind when dealing with them.
The problem from the beginning was a puffing of chests from both sides. It could have gone the other way. When the sergeant said "this is my station" He is wrong! It is the peoples commonwealth station and the officers of law are merely paid servants of the people (tax payers).
Everyone that has posted has valid points (except lexisflex's obvious attempt at poor racist humor) There are good and bad people in all walks of life. If the first person walking in could ask the question in a coherent manner and actually listen to what was being said, this would have gone down differently and perhaps he would have simply filed a report verbally (which would have been tossed out of course) or via the 1-800 number (which would have been deleted). It's a sad state of affairs these days but a bit better than the days of Darrel Gates where this poor guy would have ended up downtown at the hospital just for looking at the officer wrong. |
| jjmckay | idiocracy thanks for your highly valuable insights. Yes I was in a federal IRS building and one woman seemed completely psychotic demanding that the building was hers. It was a 12 story building with a few thousand people in it, too. Delusion. Bully, no doubt. True, he was trying to control the situation, which he might think is his job. I thought it was to 'enforce the law & perhaps protect the public.' There's a difference. There is so much emotional energy in this country. Most people I know are unable to deal with this overwhelming emotional energy constructively. I refer to egoic behvaior and unconsciousness as described by Eckhart Tolle's book "The Power of Now." |
 | policeabuseorg | This is Mr. Kamau at the Police Complaint Center. We appreciate the enormous interest this video has generated. I decided to provide our viewers with some additional insight into this investigation. What most people don't know about this investigation is that this was not the first time we had walked into this particular station. We came to the same substation approximately 45 minutes earlier. The video that you see now on the Internet is what happened the second time we went in. The officer and our investigator began the conversation where they left off almost an hour earlier.
In the first encounter, our tester walked into the police station cold and asked the same sergeant for a complaint form. The sergeant said, "if you don't get your black ass out of my station I will make up a charge and arrest you." Our tester walked out of the station almost immediately, believing that we had enough to force an investigation. Unfortunately, our hidden camera malfunctioned. We were forced to decide on whether we should send the tester back in. I decided to send him in with a very detailed instructions. He was told when he returned to the front desk to be exceptionally polite and only asked for the complaint form, giving the sergeant as little difficulty as possible. When the sergeant walked away from the front desk our tester believed that he was actually going to get the complaint form. Instead, we watched from a distance as the sergeant exited the rear of the police station, snuck alongside the building through bushes and approach our tester from behind. The rest you can see for yourselves. You may visit policeabuse.org if you are interested in viewing additional investigations conducted by our organization |

 | bukowskiman | I find the spectrum of bias' as reflected in these commentaries more interesting then any expose' value in this video. My bias (and we all have them) is with the cops. Mr. Kamau has an ax to grind and could probably provoke the Pope with his inarticulate anonymous unibomber operative with a satchel and an unstated complaint.
This video would have been far more successful in furthering your agenda, Mr. Kamau, had your dupe tester been beaten or taised. Maybe you could get your (not so bright) operative to NOT put his hands on the counter and create the moment you seem to seek.
Mr. Kamau you are deluding yourself if you think that entering anyone's workplace and acting as suspicious as possible without crossing your constitutional lines will gain sympathy for your agenda. All you are doing is burdening police resources and ensuring that good police candidates will likely pursue other career paths as you add to the crap list that today's cop are expected to endure with pleasant restraint.
And, Mr. Kamau, the Sergeant in your video must have truly regained his composure as the 'second visit' conversation seems to reflect a much higher level of professionalism then the "get your black ass out of my station" exit of the first visit but again credibility will be decided in proportion to the bias filters of the beholder as usual and the most profound moments of Dr. King and Rodney King will remain "just words".

| jp1994 | Gee, walk into a police station,
Act suspiciously,
